Waitlist opening soon

# We are using it before we ask you to

Business software is judged by whether a real week survives it. Ours is running our own quotes, jobs and invoices first, which is the fastest way to find the parts that are wrong. When the form opens it will ask for an email address, and optionally what kind of work you do.

## In use, not in demo

Real quotes and real invoices in businesses we are responsible for, where being wrong costs us.

## A few firms first

Chosen for fit rather than size, set up with help, and listened to closely.

## Come back

The blog carries what is being built and what is deliberately not, in enough detail to argue with.

## Why there is nothing to fill in

Because a small firm cannot afford to be an experiment. Switching the system that carries your quotes and invoices is disruptive even when it goes well, and doing it for software nobody has run a full month on is not a reasonable thing to ask.

## What the waitlist will be for

One field, an email address, and optionally the kind of work you do — because the first engagements will be chosen for fit, and for some firms the honest answer will be that this is not right for you yet.

## What the first conversation will cover

What your week actually looks like: where the enquiries arrive, who writes the quotes, when the invoices go out and when they get chased. That conversation decides more than any feature list, and it usually surfaces one habit worth more than the software.

## In the meantime

The blog carries the reasoning: why most business software is a filing cabinet with a login, why the unsent invoice is the most expensive thing in a small firm, why per-seat pricing was designed for companies with seats, and what to ask before letting a model near a customer.
